Current Business: President:  The basketball goal was replaced on this past Sunday.  We swapped out backboards with hoop attached.  From now on we will be locking the goal height at 10 feet.  This will help to prevent others from mistreating the backboard and possibly breaking the tempered glass in it; which is a big expense for the HOA to replace.  Also, and “somehow” the chains are broken so the new goals now have nylon nets.  Additionally, regarding the playground, Dan has a call into the playground equipment folks to get the current broken pieces fixed.  The grass around playground area is in bad need of weeding and maintenance; but short of shutting down the playground, there is not much else we can do.  This may be a community project for winter time when we can all get in and pull weeds.

Dan says that he will get with Jason on mowing on Sections 6 and 7 that have recently been deeded over to the HOA by Taber.  Jason will tackle that area soon.  Dan is not sure what the solution will be yet but knows that we as an HOA will have an additional cost in that area to mow.

Dan is getting quotes on the fencing area that is bad need of repair to the West of Teagan Lane and he has a new one coming out on yet this week.  He is getting about 4 quotes to replace the fencing.  We also know that there will be major expenses with pool thanks to electrical and pump issues we’ve had throughout this summer swimming season.  We’ve just been putting band aids on it to get through summer.  Dan reminded everyone to keep in mind that the neighborhood has tripled in size in the 20 years since they have been constructed.  There is a lot of maintenance that needs to be done and likely addition of another pump.  We are looking at possibly keeping the pool open until October 1 but this will be predicated on the current damages and repairs needed.

Dan also reminded people that when we see an issue in the neighborhood, rather than confronting people, or calling a Board member, please call the police.  The Board has zero authority to act upon issues in neighborhood.  We also don’t know if everyone we might be confronting lives in the neighborhood and we have no right to ask them.  If something is suspicious call police.

Dan also mentioned that we should plan a neighborhood event to fix up flower beds and prepare them for planting new in the spring season by a landscaper.

Dan asked us all to watch our speed in neighborhood as well.  We want no one injured, especially a child.

Vice President:  Not in attendance

Treasurer:  Brian ran down the financials for the meeting.  The summary was as follows:

The Homeowner Balance Owed as of September 9th is $6,761.24.

Income for August was $240.76.

Outgoing expenses in August 2022totaled $15,717.54 for a net for August (income versus outgoing dollars) of $15,476.78.  Those expenses are listed below the total.

In checking we have a balance of $93,780.66.  In savings we have a balance of $100,071.68.

Secretary:  Jerry asked if costs to mow Sections 6 & 7 included in expenses for August yet.  John Riggs in charge of Landscape is handling this.

Pool:  John has been at the pool assessing the issues.  He has found that it is dirty because the pump isn’t working due to a switch pulling the breaker.  The “dirt” in the pool is primarily seed pollen from trees.  He cleaned the bottom of the pool but we need the pump running to thoroughly filter the pollen and dirt out.  He suggests that in offseason we check out the lines in the pool and make sure all is up and running for both pools.  We also need to set a date to close the pool.

Cabana:  Linda reported that there were 5 rentals, 0 new residents, and not much else happening in regards to new residents and the cabana and its rentals.

Landscape:  Not in attendance.

Social:  Blandy reported on the upcoming Fall Fest.  There will be three food trucks, a DJ, and two bounce houses, along with yard games.  Tables and chairs will need to be set up for this event.

Violations:  Ashley reported that two people reached out regarding the truck with trailer sticking out into street.  The other was a yard that was needing mowed and it got mowed.  She checked out the trailer situation and found that it was not an issue as it wasn’t sticking out into the street at all.

Residents in Attendance and Questions:  Rick Thompson, Heather Finley, Jonathon, Clay, Philippe, Mike Stanley, Kelsey, MG, Brian Murphy, Rebekka Bunnell.

Rick Thompson, Question.  Common area mowing?  The home that caught fire on Kamber.  That area looks trashy and burnt out.  Any idea when they’re going to do something with that?  Dan stated that we will contact John in charge of landscape regarding getting the newly deeded area mowed soon.  We will contact Taber or the City of Oklahoma City for request for clean-up.

Philippe – Questions – lived 6 – 7 months.  Minutes for meetings not being posted like they were.  Not uploaded recently.  Jerry replied that since we’ve had some turnover in the Board things have been a little delayed but that we would get those posted soon.

There are fired up people on Facebook but they are never at the meetings.  Any chance of running a concurrent stream of meetings through Facebook Live?  Dan answered maybe we could record the meetings and post after the fact.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 24, 2022.  It is moved due to the third Monday being Spring Break week.

End of Meeting:  7:06 pm.
